Run Compodium ACCOUNT meetings inside a web browser

This upcoming weekend we will upgrade our server park to enable a new function that makes it possible for your guests to participate directly from their web browsers (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Chrome, etc.) instead of via an installed application.
We have made a small movie where we cover this new functionality, do watch that in order to make your self acquainted with the differences,
Your/the license holder should continue to use the installed software in order to have access to all the functionality. Also note that users on mobile devices like smart phones and tablets should continue to use their respective ‘apps’.
We will also shorten the pin code that your guests use when they connect from more traditional systems (SIP/H.323) as well as when they call into the meeting using their phone. We felt that it was a bit long and will shorten it, you can see what code you were assigned after the upgrade via the invite function in the software.
We will be online in one of our virtual rooms on Thursday (March 27) between 10 and 11:30 AM (EST) to answer questions that might arise. You can also send us an e-mail if you have any questions.

Gotland goes virtual

Compodium has received the trust to deliver services for a video infrastructure that will enable publically financed operations to work more efficient and in a long-term sustainable manner. There are widespread operations on the island in many localities which means travel and “time thief’s” for the staff, with the possibility to work online and virtual they will see further cooperation, reduce travel and increase quality.

The health centers in the smaller districts can now be coordinated with the central operation at Visby hospital. The schools on the island also receives possibilities to interoperate and support each other both within adiministration but also with their pedagogical mission – the island simply becomes “smaller”.

Increased interaction with parties on the mainland, the possibility to use online meetings and conferences, will also be possible by means of this investment.
-This is really exiting, says Curt Andersson, System Intendant at the Health Care Administration, Region Gotland.

-We see a great potential by providing sound IT services like these, not only within the health care system but also for all municipal operations, he continues.

Region Gotland
The province Gotland constitutes of a single municipality that as of January 2011 is called Region Gotland. There is no county council on the island but instead Region Gotland is responsible both for primary municipal functions as well as county council operations like health care and public transportation. Even the regional development responsibility lies on Region Gotland. The region has 57300 inhabitants whereof just over half lives outside the regional center of Visby.

Bjorn has 30+ years of experience from global 500 organizations as well as emerging companies in key market arenas.
The US market is of special interest because of the changes brought on by “The Affordable Healthcare Act” one piece of the act aims at moving towards pay for performance rather than transaction. Creating Accountable Care Organizations to improve quality and get better efficiency where communications and visual collaboration will play an important role.
—“The US market is very competitive and expensive to enter, however we feel that we can leverage the experience we have managing the visual collaboration and virtual meetings for the Swedish healthcare. The market is huge with no established market leader in the healthcare space and it is therefore an important market for us” Bengt Grahn CEO Compodium International AB.
—“As the US healthcare industry is fragmented with several stakeholders and on top of that in a stage of change. We have an excellent opportunity to get recognition as a thought leader using our virtual meeting platform to connect old legacy technology with the plethora of mobile devices that are expected to be used in the healthcare system. The mobile devices have an opportunity to connect the doctors with their patients creating better communication and efficiencies in the system.” Bjorn Nordwall President Compodium Inc
