Information sharing regarding Telehealth activities between Sweden and NCHICA – USA

North Carolina Healthcare Information and Communications Association (NCHICA) and Compodium have held two virtual meetings with the aim to “Share experience and plans for Telehealth activities that improve health outcomes and efficiencies”.
NCHICA is a private, nonprofit consortium of healthcare providers, payers, corporate partners, professional associations and government agencies formed in 1994 with the mission of assisting NCHICA members in accelerating the transformation of the US healthcare system through the effective use of information technology, informatics, and analytics.
These virtual meetings held on February 13th and May 28th brought thought leaders together from Skellefteå County Hospital/ Umea University Hospital, Karolinska University Hospital in Sweden; in the US we had thought leaders from Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Center for Rural Health Innovation, Duke University Medical Center, Internet2, and University of New Mexico.
